On Audio [4]: Library Loot

Hey, Friends.

I hope you're all having a fantastic week so far. On this edition of On Audio, I found myself perusing Libby once again. Here are the books I downloaded:

Wicked Fox by Kat Cho
Publication Date: June 25th, 2019
I'm giving this one another go. I borrowed it before, but I was either not in the mood for it, or it was just boring. This is about a 9-tailed fox (shifter?) who devours evil men in order to survive.
These Truths by Jill Lepore
Publication Date: October 1st, 2019
This is a huge book containing 29 hours of the History of the United States. The author meant to plot the events that set the US on its path. Starting from 1492 -- which I hope that she mentioned how the US was not, in fact, discovered. The Native Americans were there all along.
The Only Plane in the Sky by Garrett M. Graff
Publication Date: September 10th, 2019
As the title would suggest, this is an oral history of the events of 9/11 as told by those who has lived it. This is will probably be difficult, but I've seen reviews saying that this is a must-read if you're a history buff, or a non-fiction reader.
How to Pronounce Knife by Souvankham Thammavongsa
Publication Date: April 21st, 2020
This is a short story collection from a Canadian author that I think talks about the immigrant life.
Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert
Publication Date: March 9th, 2021
I read this already, but I wanted to listen to the audiobook, regardless. Eve Brown is my favourite amongst the Brown sisters.
Final Girls by Riley Sager
Publication Date: July 11th, 2017
I'm finally taking the plunge. I've seen this author around both the blogosphere, and the booktubersphere so I'm glad there was a couple of books available for borrow. This one is about a group of girls who has one thing in common: the only girl who survived a massacre. I'm excited to listen to this one!

Have you read any of these?

  5. I tried a Wicked Fox arc but ended up not enjoying it much. I did not feel a connection with the characters, but maybe you'll like the world building and action.

  6. I do want to read those Brown sisters' books. I didn't care for Final Girls but it seems that I am definitely in the minority. I hope you enjoy all of your downloads!
